The massacres in Jammu and Kashmir after independence

The separation of India and Pakistan is a bloody phase in the Indian history. Their is lot of bloodshed and violence happened in the name of religion. One of the massacres was happened in Rajouri, Jammu and Mirpur in the Jammu and Kashmir which lot of pepole does not talk about. As the people are celebrating the independence their was one part of nation where a war was waging and that is first war of Kashmir. The tribal insurgents backed by the army wreak havoc on Kashmir. Their was widespread atrocities by these tribal insurgents and they have captured Gilgit-Baltistan which is now known as POK. Whole of  the villages were burned to ashes and there was massive uprising in poonch jagir which is bordered Rawalpindi district of west Punjab (you can read about thee uprising here Poonch rebellion). The Maharajah ji has lost control over its western territories  and the tribal militia has seized control over poonch and rajouri. The Hindu population of rajouri was exterminated. The militia gather up the Sikh residents in the town and kill them all. The crime against women were heinous and the rapes against women were widespread in rajouri. There is an estimate that round about 30,000 men and women were perished in rajouri alone. The effects of massacre are still seen today in rajouri in its demography that now today rajouri is a Muslim dominated city which was not the case before independence.

As we move onto Mirpur, the 20 percent of the population of Mirpur was of Non Muslims. This number was proliferated when the refugees from west Punjab came to seek asylum there to get away from the bloodshed but alas the death reach to them in Mirpur. The armed militia tribesmen and Pakistani army men rounded up the civilians and kill them brutally. Their was estimated 10,000 people killed on the gradual course and around about 5000 women were abducted by these militias backed by Pakistan. The president of Kashmir Sardar Muhammad Ibrahim Khan has said that when he have visited Mirpur that ‘Hindus were disposed of in Mirpur in November 1947’. These massacres and devastation in Jammu and Kashmir has not only done by Pakistan only. As I have move forward in Jammu there was large scale massacre lead by the Sikhs, RSS(Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) and Hindus in retaliation but I think it is madness lead not by the people but devils. The impunity is given by the Maharajah ji to these people. The people were taken like cattle's with promise to be saved but only to give them death. This is the revenge which was taken on those who has been nothing to do with what happened in Punjab or rajouri and anywhere else. This is the most sickest times in the state and in all of these there is an estimate that 100,000 Muslims have been killed in the Jammu. I am not able to clearly think that why so much innocent blood was spilled for just piece of land and religion. I feel sick to think that even if they are humans who have done this. I prey to every god that may the fight stop everywhere. The interest differ but is it so much that you do not consider other human a living thing. The times of good and evil has gone which is replaced by power, money and superiority and using a poor soul whose mind is filled with absurd propaganda and make them an instrument of inflicting atrocities
